Do You Share Your Culture?
Thursday Feb 20, 2025
Thursday Feb 20, 2025
I write a lot about different cultures in my books.
These cultural differences are partly, I think, what makes my books so beautiful, but also it’s the differences between people are often the causes of tensions. And I’ve started thinking a lot about the share-ability of culture in the context of how we see other.

My Thoughts Wheel of Time Book One
Monday Jul 29, 2024
Monday Jul 29, 2024
The Wheel of Time - book one - is it worth it? Did I like it? Should you read it? Today I decided to grade it on 9 elements: 1. Plot - Did the plot makes sense? 2. Setting - how well is the world built and described? 3. Characters - Did the characters feel real and interesting? And do I connect with them? 4. Ending - How satisfied was I with the ending? 5. Engagement - Did the story keep my attention? Was it worth my time? 6. Prose - how well was it worded? 7. Book specific elements - How was the fantastical part of this book? 8. Themes - What part of the human condition did it explore and did it do a good job exploring those themes? 9. Moral stance - did it take a stance and do I agree with the stance it took?
